The Eulogy
A Eulogy for My Boobs Today, we gather in solemn remembrance of two faithful companions who have been with me through every chapter of my life. They were there in adolescence, shy and uncertain; in adulthood, confident and present; in every outfit that worked — and many that definitely didn’t. They bounced with joy, they got in the way, they were admired, misunderstood, and occasionally complained about, but always, they were mine. They have known warmth, closeness, love, and laughter. They have fed no one, or maybe they have — but they have certainly nourished my sense of self, my humor, my sensuality, and sometimes my frustration. They were not perfect, but they were perfectly mine. And now, as I face breast cancer with courage and clarity, I honor them not with sorrow, but with gratitude for the role they played in my story. If they must go for me to stay, then this is not an ending but a choice for life, for healing, for a future where I am still here — stronger, fiercer, and absolutely still whole. So goodbye, dear boobs. Thank you for your years of loyal service. You will be missed, but you will not define me. I define me — and I’m still here.v0od0o_cutie
